We were so excited when we heard health hot spot Sweetgreen, was opening up shop in Williamsburg! In celebration of their new digs, we teamed up to run a winter workout. We extended the invite to the HBFit community and got together this past Saturday to start our weekend off right. To begin, our founder, HB shook off the cold with an active stretch to our favorite Drake track, “Know Yourself.” Then, she led the class through a compilation of moves inspired by our favorite NYC instructors, ranging from classic jumping jacks to shadow boxing. She also threw in a few aerobic dance moves we love, including Beyonce’s “Drunk in Love” shake. With Bey in mind, we ended with a booty focus, squatting it out to O.T. Genasis’ “I’m in Love with CoCo.”

After catching our breath post-squat, we chatted about all things fitness: our favorite exercises, pre and post-workout meal practices and eating seasonally. The HBFit community asked questions about everything from our favorite winter smoothie recipe (see below) to how to find rhythm when dancing. This part of the experience was the best, since everyone was in a like-minded space, thus able to speak openly and ask questions without judgment. We really appreciated that Sweetgreen provided us with the space to not only shake our bodies, but our doubts.

We learned that our fitness routines and eating preferences don’t necessarily work for everyone. We did; however, all agree that wellness is a combination of exercising regularly, eating a well-balanced diet and thinking positively. We are so grateful to all that came out to share another #HBFit Sweat Series with us!



  • 2  stalks of celery
  • 1/4 cup fresh spinach
  • 1/4 cup cucumber
  • 1/4 cup watercress
  • Palm size of broccoli
  • 1/2 lemon
  • 1 cup of Ice


Blend all veggies with ice and lemon juice.
