Boutique workout studios continue to pop up EVERYWHERE. There is always a new exercise or method but what doesn’t seem to sway is the high prices of these classes. It’s safe to say it can be very expensive and many people don’t have the cash to pay $35 for a drop-in class. At HBFIT we feel that fitness should be something everyone should have available to them, especially group fitness. It creates community, increases motivation, and it is often more fun than going to the gym by yourself. So, the HBFIT team looked at all the major cities (LA, SF, CHI, NYC, BOS) and rounded up a list of affordable group workouts, that are bound to make you sweat. Check it out below!

LA: 

Beach yoga with Brad

Saturdays and Sunday 10:30 am -noon all year long at Santa Monica Beach by Lifeguard Station #29. Free or choice of donation.

Runyon Canyon Yoga:

Occurs 3-4 times every day. It’s FREE but a $5-15 donation is recommended. Find times on the Runyon Canyon Yoga FB page.

Kinetic Body Cycling:

Drop in for $23 per class or buy a 5 pack for only $105. Kinetic is a cycling class that is all about good energy and encourages going at your own speed and challenging yourself.

Free fitness guide 2017

Boston magazine has an entire calendar of free fitness classes around the city.

The November Project

A free fitness movement that was founded in Boston, their main goal is to stay in shape during the cold North East months. It has spread to multiple cities and the movement uses verbal accountability to motivates its members. There are November projects in Chicago and LA as well. Once you join NP you have the ability to track where and when workouts will take place in your city.

Kick it By Eliza:

Drop in for $12. A 13 round kickboxing inspired fitness class there isn’t a designated studio but pop up classes are held all over Boston.

Karma Revolution Yoga:

By donation, $1-16 for a single class.

CHICAGO: 

The Nike Training Club:

Nike stores throughout the city offer different types of workout classes throughout the year. Nike also has running clubs and throws other fitness events

Yoga Loft Studios:

Drop in for $19 or buy a pack of 5 classes for $85.

The Barre Code

Drop in for  $22 or buy a packof 5 for $100. This isn’t yourtypical barre studio, as specialty classes like the ‘barre brawl’ which incorporate kickboxing as well as strength work.

Free yoga, & zumba @ the Navy pier:

The details can all be found on the navy piers website and all classes are donation based.

NYC:

NYC dance week:

Get down with ya bad self, you can sign up for free dance classes brought to you by NYC Dance Week. You can get up to 5 passes for a jazz, tap, or ballet class.

Pure Barre:

Drop in for $25 and get your first week free. Pure Barre is a small movement class that can transform your body in a tremendous way.

Yoga to the People:

These donation yoga classes have 3 locations in 2 in Manhattan and 1 in Brooklyn and offer hot vinyasa, traditional hot yoga, and power vinyasa flow.

San Fran:

Cardio Barre SF:

Drop in for $22 at this one hour boxing and TRX circuit training class.

Rhythm and Motion, ODC Dance Commons

Drop in for $14 or buy an 8 pack of classes for $84 at this high energy dance class to your favorite tunes.

Total Body Burn:

A combination of pilates, cardio,floor, and barre, exercises, you can drop in for $19 or buy 5 classes for $90.

Beats for Lunch, Monarch:

This free workout lets you make your way to the dance floor for free lunch, drinks, and a workout!
