Halloween is pretty much synonymous with refined sugar: Reeses, Twizzlers, Skittles, M&Ms, Kit Kats…the list goes on. Not only are these candy bars filled with empty calories but they leave you on a major sugar high–only to crash shortly after with a major stomach ache. We aren’t saying that you have to be THAT person that hands out toothbrushes or plain apples–just give something with nutritional value!
