Our Favorite Juices for Summer

Now that the weather is getting hotter and summer has finally arrived in NYC, we’re celebrating with one of our favorite drinks- juice! We love trying different cold-pressed juices around the city, so we thought it would only be fair to share some of our favorites with you. If you don’t live in New York, don’t worry- all of these juices can totally be recreated at home. Whether you’re a green juice fan girl or just want a refreshing fruity beverage, check out some of these juices at our favorite local stores:

If you have a sweet tooth…

Go for: Pressed Juicery’s Strawberry Almond. This juice tastes like a strawberry milkshake, and it’s made with only almonds, beets, coconut water, strawberry, and vanilla bean. It’s perfect if you’re not into greens or if you’re craving a little dessert drink.

If you need a spicy kick…

Go for: Juice Press’ Ginger Fireball. This drink will make your eyes water, but it has so many benefits for your body. It’s made with orange, lemon, ginger, cayenne, and oil of oregano. It’s amazing for inflammation and immunity.

If you’re under the weather…

Go for: Organic Avenue’s Medicinal Greens. Also unbelievable for your immune system, this drink is filled with yummy ingredients that will help fight off sickness and soothe your sore throat. It’s made with cucumber, green swiss chard, spinach, collard greens, kale, lemon, garlic, turmeric powder, cayenne, and Himalayan salt.

If you love citrus…

Go for: Juice Press Glo. If summer came in liquid-form, it would taste like this juice. Freshly squeezed and super refreshing, the Glo juice is delicious and hydrating. It’s made from oranges, lemon, grapefruit, and a vegan probiotic for some extra healthy bacteria.

If you need to refuel post-workout…

Go for: Juice Generation’s Protein Buzz. It’s more of a cold-pressed shake than a juice, but they recently started selling it in bottle-form, so we love sipping on this drink after a tough workout. It’s made with bananas, almonds, blueberries, dates, and tons of plant-based protein, so you can get your protein and carb kick after getting your butt kicked.

If you’re looking for total greenery…

Go for: Pressed Juicery’s Greens 1.5. This is THE green juice, no questions asked. Made with celery, cucumber, kale, lemon, parsley, romaine, spinach, and a sprinkle of sea salt, this drink is perfect for anyone who wants a ton of vitamins and antioxidants with no sugar. If you’re a green juice fanatic, this juice is all yours.

If you’re REALLY into detoxing…

Go for: By Chloe’s “On the Road” juice, made with activated charcoal, lemon, pure maple syrup, and filtered water. Charcoal started making its way into juice bars about a year ago in “black lemonade” drinks, and we’re hooked on By Chloe’s take on the ingredient. If you’re up for trying out funky detox ingredients, you’ve got to try this juice. It’s basically good enough to make you forget you’re drinking charcoal.
