Real Talk: Periods

Let’s be real – getting your period and working out don’t always go hand-in-hand. As someone who is super active, it can definitely feel like getting my period slows me down when I’m working towards a goal.

Listen; I think we should all be setting attainable goals all the time, not just in the New Year. I always say it takes 21 days to make or break a habit, and that’s a great way to start. But think about it – if you get your period in those 21 days and take 5-7 days off, it can really set you back!

Having a setback is no reason to quit – I truly believe that you can workout during that time of the month, if you listen to your body and have great protection on your side.
