As long as the sun’s out, it’s still iced coffee season. September 29 is International Coffee Day, and we’re celebrating with this super simple recipe for homemade cold brew iced coffee!
Do you want all the taste of delicious cold brew, right at home? Maybe you have a favourite brand or bean — like us and Marley Coffee — and you want to sip it everywhere.
Making things at home means knowing exactly what’s going into your food — you can cut out those artificial sweeteners, unsustainable brands, and unhealthy ingredients.
6 oz coarse ground coffee beans
6 cups cold water
Start by combining coffee beans and water in a large container. Next, allow the container to sit covered at room temperature for up to 24 hours.
Slowly pour the coffee mixture through a fine strainer, straining it multiple times until all grounds have been separated. Once you’ve discarded the grounds, place your filtered coffee in the fridge to chill in a sealed container. Serve over ice and sweeten with milk as needed.
