Wedding Prep with Hannah: Health & Beauty Routine

As you guys might already know, skincare, bodycare, and beauty are huge staples in my life, and I love trying out new treatments and experimenting with new products. So, of course, a huge part of getting ready for the big day has been about perfecting my beauty routine. Today I’m going to share with you guys my favorite treatments I’ve been doing to prepare, the products I’ve been using, and some extra healthy tips that I’ve been focusing on for that “bridal glow” everyone wants.

Skin Treatments:

Let’s start with the skin treatments I’ve been loving recently. SB Skin was one of the best discoveries I’ve made when it comes to my skincare. I’ve been getting their microcurrent facial and body treatments, and they make my skin feel and look amazing. The microcurrent facial uses mild electrical currents to stimulate your skin and facial muscles, which promotes healing and boosts collagen and elastin production in your skin. It’s like Pilates for your face. I’ve also been getting facial peels from Dr. Macrene Alexiades, who is an amazing dermatologist and makes my skin glow after each appointment. I can’t forget to mention the amazing back and chest facial I recently got at Cane +Austin. The final touch that I’ve been doing for my skin is Dermaplaning at TriBeca Med Spa, which gently removes the dead skin cells from your face and brighten up your skin

Beauty Treatments:

A girl’s gotta have big, full lashes right? I owe all the credit to Christian Zamora. I’ve been going to the Christian Zamora Studio here in New York, and their lash extensions are a complete game changer. Another treatment that I have to include is my regular manicures from Nails by Mei, which are anything but regular-looking. Mei is such a talented nail artist and we’ve been getting super creative with wedding-themed nail art. I’m also a huge fan of infrared saunas to detox my body and and sweat out any toxins my body might be holding onto. The benefits of infrared are endless, and its effects have been amazing. I just got my brows done by Brow Queen Kristie Streicher, she’s the only one I let touch my brows!

Favorite Products:

One product I’ve been obsessing over is the In Fiore leg tonic. Not only is it made from only natural ingredients, but it actually stimulates your blood and lymphatic flow to flush out toxins from your legs to reduce vein visibility and cellulite. I love it. I’ve also been loving the Cane and Austin body scrub. It exfoliates my skin really well and has totally improved my skin’s texture and appearance. It’s no secret I love my baths, it’s a time to wind down and reset. I am always trying different soaks and oils but as my wedding approaches I’ve been using Dixie Elixer’s Bath Soak to help me relax, it also relieves muscle soreness (crucial when you’re ramping up your workout regimen before the big day!) On my face I’ve been using the Marie Veronique x Kristina Holey serums to prevent acne and ensure clear skin on the big day, specifically the Intensive Repair Serum. I’ve also been using Drunk Elephant’s T.L.C Sukari Babyfacial and Cane + Austin Retexturizing Treatment Pads to help exfoliate. And I’m obsessed with Buly’s Clay Masks for correcting, hydrating, and balancing my skin since this has been a chaotic and stressful time!

Diet & Supplements:

People have been asking me if I’m dieting for my wedding, and I’m definitely not on a super strict diet. For the most part, I try to stick to a Ketogenic style of eating, so I incorporate lots of lean protein and healthy fats in my meals. Tons of veggies, too! In terms of extra supplements, I take reacted magnesium powder at night to help my sleep and digestion, as well as Fenugreek & Thyme, which helps get rid of mucus. I also take a Glow Matrix Advanced Skin Hydrator, which is a combination of collagen and ceramides. It really helps improve the moisture and elasticity in your skin. Lastly, I take natural zen pills at night, which help me chill out and fall asleep easily. I’m obsessed.

Everyone is different and it’s important to try a bunch of different things at first but stick to your gut when it comes to your body and skin!
