City Spotlight: Miami

If you’re planning a trip to South Florida, you’ll want to check out the best spots for health, beauty, and fitness, and we’ve got you covered! We’re kicking off our new City Spotlight series with one of our favorite sunny destinations, and we want to show you our favorite spots in Miami, including relaxing spas, trendy workout studios, and tons of healthy restaurants. Whether you’re looking to grab a light bite, book a killer pilates session, or a treat yourself to a deep tissue massage, we’ve rounded up some of our favorite places for you to check out in the area. Plus, in case you’re leaving the Miami area, we’ve included a few of our favorite spots in Fort Lauderdale, Boca Raton, and Palm Beach.

Health Picks:

Plant Food +Wine Miami, Wynwood

Plant Food + Wine is one of the hottest restaurants in the area right now, and the hype is worth it. The space itself is totally modern and cutting edge, and the menu is filled with plant-based options that are healthy, innovative, and completely delicious. Whether you’re dining inside or on the outdoor patio, you’ll love the chef’s modern approach to seasonal produce, and the fun ambiance of the whole place. Pro tip: make a reservation in advance!

OTL, Miami Design District

OTL’s motto is “eat, drink & relax all day,” and we’re all for it. Whether you’re grabbing a latte and a homemade pastry, or dining in and getting one of their delicious market grain bowls, OTL makes going “out to lunch” a new experience. We love that OTL is casual enough for a light bite during a busy day, but is modern enough to sit down and relax with friends. You’ll find that the food is almost too pretty to eat.

Jar + Fork, Downtown Miami

Jar + Fork combines the casual American fast food concept with healthy, organic bites. Jar +Fork has that community feeling that is so welcoming, and it’s perfect for grabbing a refreshing juice, a paleo inspired plate, or a yummy vegetarian salad. They even have a drink menu with cool craft beers that will make you want to stop by for happy hour on your way out for the night. Plus, a little secret: their sandwiches are served on fresh bread from local bakery,  Zak the Baker, another HBFIT favorite.

Apura Juicery + Vegan Kitchen, Boca Raton

There are so many great juice bars in the South Florida area, but we will venture out to Boca Raton for this neighborhood spot. Apura is all about eating with intention, and their menu is filled with colorful smoothies, acai bowls, vegan sushi, and a mac ‘n’ cheese dish that you’d never believe is vegan. We love their juices and coffee drinks too. Their lavender latte is made with dates, vanilla, almonds, and real lavender!

Table 26,  Palm Beach

If you’re looking to dine out in Palm Beach for the night, Table 26 is your go-to. The menu is based off global American cuisine with a sophisticated twist, and the spot is perfect for brunch, lunch, happy hour, or dinner. This is another spot where you’ll need a reservation in advance, but it’s worth the extra planning! The Seared Ahi Tuna Tacos are to die for.

Paradigm Kitchen, Miami Beach

This cafe was created by the founder of JugoFresh, another well-known health spot in the area if you’re looking to grab a juice or a wellness shot.
