Hi guys! Olivia here, taking over to share my routine with LANEIGE to celebrate the launch of their Water Bank. Skin care is a big thing for me, as some of you may have noticed in other posts. I am a freak about my skin, so when LANEIGE came to us to partner it was a no brainer. I have totally different skin than Madison, whose skin is drier, while I lean towards oily with a nice side of breakouts. What I love about this line though, is the products are super light, which means you can layer them or add them to your routine without overwhelming your face. 6:00 AM: My bedtime can sometimes be embarrassing (I pass out when my head hits the pillow and that can sometimes be 9 pm) so I wake up very early, usually around 5:30-6 naturally. I hate alarm clocks and can’t stand when people snooze them. I don’t get it, what’s the point of an extra 18 minutes of “kind of” sleep? ANYWAY, I am usually starving when I wake up so I make myself a matcha and will have something small to eat to hold me over until my first real meal, lately it’s been either half a protein bar or a piece of peanut butter toast. I check email and touch base with HB to make sure everything is ready to go for the day.
7:30: I get ready for my day, which usually starts off with a workout. Pre-workout I just splash my face with water and moisturize. Like I mentioned, I’m obsessed with skincare and really particular about what I put on my face. I am really digging LANEIGE’s Water Bank line right now because even though the humidity is in full swing in NYC, I still like a dewy look. All the products provide just the right amount of hydration and don’t make me breakout – A BIG THING FOR A GIRL WITH HORMONAL ACNE STRUGGLES! I’m using the Water Bank Hydrating Gel (which is super cooling on skin too) this am and I follow up with SPF because mama didn’t raise no fool!
8:30: Workout. Today I am at AKT for a workout with some of the HBFIT team. AKT is our Studio Spotlight for the month and we like to show our readers an inside look at our favorite studios so here we are! I sweat SO MUCH when I exercise it is really obscene so I have to shower ASAP. Post-shower comes my full routine: cleanse, tone, spray, serum, moisturize, SPF. The LANEIGE Water Bank Essence has become my new BFF lately, because it’s a super hydrating serum, that I can put on quickly when I’m late to a meeting. I still make time for a quick slather of sunscreen though! (Are you annoyed with my SPF PSAs yet? Protect that face baby) I am super low maintenance during the day so don’t wear any makeup. I aim for that dewy glow 24/7 though and I love how hydrated LANEIGE’s new line leaves my skin. I actually get so many compliments on this glow after sending a couple snaps. Thanks guys!
10:00: Meeting at Union Fare. As Director of Strategy here at HBFIT part of my job is meeting with people from health, beauty, and fitness companies to see if there is synergy between our brands and if we potentially want to work together. It’s great because I get to stay up on the latest and greatest in the wellness space (my favorite space!). Union Fare has one of the best iced matcha lattes in NYC, not to mention an insane selection of croissants (more matcha, birthday cake, red velvet, the list goes on). The real MVP here though is the Smash Bar and I hit it hard, ordering avocado smash toast with burrata and juicy tomatoes. Burrata is cool for breakfast right?
11:00: Head to the office. It’s been a busy week already so have to jump right on a call and get back on email. We have a bunch of projects going on (stay tuned) and part of my job is making sure everything is on the right track. I also keep a massive bottle of water on my desk at all times to stay hydrated throughout the day. It’s SO humid now in NYC and drinking a lot of water is really important to feeling good, both mind and body.
1:00PM: LUNCH TIME! This is my favorite time of day. I make a super smoothie following my #1 rule in life: If you’re smoothie doesn’t taste like the earth you’re doing it wrong. The greens, adaptogens, supplements, and herbs I pack it in help keep my skin and mind clear. My secret recipe is 3 cups spinach, 1/2 frozen banana, 1/2 cucumber, 4 ice cubes, 1/2 cup almond milk, 1 cup water, and 1 serving each of: Protein, Reishi, Tocos, Probiotics, Prebiotics, Collagen, Chlorella, and Anandamide. Blend until a creepy dark green color & enjoy!
5:00: How is it already 5? The day flies. I have an event tonight in midtown about discovering your personal path to wellness. I’m really excited about it because self care is so important to me and I love hearing other people’s stories about how they craft their own routine. Before heading out I wash up quickly and go full on routine. I layer LANEIGE’s Water Bank Essence with the Water Bank Hydrating Gel & Water Bank Eye Gel Cream before applying some makeup. Like I said, I’m low maintenance but I live for the dewy glow and these 3 are a triple threat. All I need is a bit of blush and some highlighter and I look like I just stepped out of a facial. Mission achieved.
6:00: The event is starting soon so I grab a cocktail and join my friend waiting for me. Stacey Griffith, co-founder of SoulCycle, and Jesse Israel, founder of The Big Quiet, have some serious powerful words that leave their mark. Definitely adding meditation to my to-do list (although I think that defeats the purpose).
8:00: I’m meeting a few friends for drinks. I don’t normally stay out too late on weeknights (like I said, I have an earlier bed time than most kids these days) but I’m already out, it’s a gorgeous night, and I am feeling these midtown views!
11:30: Fast forward a few cocktails and I am back home, not too late! I always do a mask before bed and LANEIGE has an amazing overnight one, the Water Sleeping Mask, that you leave on while you sleep and rinse off in the am. Ideal after a night out. After I wash up I put this on and it’s lights out.
