You guys!! I am so excited to share my new book, Do What Feels Good. I started HBFIT to share all of my tips and tricks to living a balanced and healthy lifestyle, and this book is an extension of that – it’s a book about my life and journey including some of my favorite, “recipes, remedies, and routines to treat your body right”. It comes out on January 8, 2019.
The book is about my decade-long journey in wellness; what started as an incredibly personal endeavor turned into a passion and a community that involves all of you. But it hasn’t always been easy. It started as a result of burnout from DJing nightclubs, and as a reaction to an unhealthy version of body image that I grew up around. I decided that I needed to make a change, so I began a hunt to speak to everyone and anyone that could help me on my path.
In Do What Feels Good, I share all of those tips with you. There are some things that I’ve been doing for years that I don’t even think are weird anymore (like not drinking for 30 minutes before or after I eat) and some things that I’ve discovered more recently.
I also share a good chunk of recipes I’ve conjured up over the years. There are some of my go-to salads and bowls, my easy soups and mains, and of course, my healthy spins on dessert. That is the part I’m most excited about – I have some crazy desserts that I eat on the regular that I need you guys to start making. Sex chocolates?! Hello! Blue Majik? Yes!! World’s easiest (and most delicious, if I do say so myself) gluten-free and dairy free almond cookies? You guys are going to love them, I know it.
I also take you through my very windy journey with body love. It is not a straight line – I don’t know that it is for anyone. But these are things that we need to be talking about to create a healthier and more productive and loving society and I am so happy to finally be putting this out into the conversation.
The point is – I want you to Do What Feels Good. Because when you do, you become a better friend, lover, sister, daughter, mother….you become a better person for it. I know it firsthand. And I can’t wait for you to join me.
