Real Talk: Periods

Let’s be real – getting your period and working out don’t always go hand-in-hand. As someone who is super active, it can definitely feel like getting my period slows me down when I’m working towards a goal.

Listen; I think we should all be setting attainable goals all the time, not just in the New Year. I always say it takes 21 days to make or break a habit, and that’s a great way to start. But think about it – if you get your period in those 21 days and take 5-7 days off, it can really set you back!

Having a setback is no reason to quit – I truly believe that you can workout during that time of the month, if you listen to your body and have great protection on your side.

That’s why I’m so stoked to partner with Tampax Pearl Active, to help inspire you to #GetInMotion. Tampax Pearl Active’s Motion Fit Protection moves with you, so you don’t have to worry about leaks while you’re working out. The MotionFit core is really cool – it conforms to your unique shape, so you can literally do any workout that moves you. Not completely writing off those days of the month means I can hit my bigger goals sooner.

I’ve been loving trying new workouts lately – I’m super into Barre (Kira Stokes has the best barre classes!) and I’ve recently conquered my hesitation towards running at Mile High Run Club. It’s awesome to be able to keep up with these all the time, whether or not I have my period.

And the best part?

I have a year supply of Tampax Pearl Active to give away! To get active in this conversation tag me on Instagram and use the hashtag #GetInMotion to show me how you are staying active this year.
