The Korean 10 Step Skincare Routine

Korean beauty products and trends are taking the American beauty industry by storm. From essences to sheets masks, we are in love with the Korean skincare mindset. The Korean skincare regime is all about pampering and taking care of yourself. While it may be an exhaustive multi-step process, there are only 10 simple steps – cleansing, exfoliating, treating, intensely moisturizing, and applying plenty of SPF.  Pro-tip, you don’t have to do all 10 steps a day.

Embarking on this beauty regime may be daunting. But the effects of this Korean 10 Step Skincare Routine is out of this world.

Water Based Foam Cleanser: Using gentle circular motions with your fingers, massage and remove impurities like sweat, dirt, and leftover foundation and creams. The combination of an oil and water based foam cleanser in your skincare regime will ensure that all leftover facial grit and grime are removed.

Exfoliator: Exfoliating is a natural scrub that will bring your skin back to its glory days. It will not only clean out your clogged pores but will remove dead cells, leaving you with brighter, healthier looking skin. We recommend concentrating on your t-zone or wherever blackheads frequently reside. When it comes to facial exfoliation, Korean women often believe less is more.

Toners: After completely cleansing and exfoliating your skin, toners will provide the much needed hydration that it needs. Also known as skin softeners and fresheners, toners will remove pollutants along with any leftover residue  and will restore your skin’s pH balance. Toners act as a way to prep your skin to absorb the next treatments better.

Essence: Essences are the most important step to a Korean women. It is the heart and soul Korean skincare routines. Essences are similar to serums, boosters, and ampoules. The major difference is that essences performs miracles. Essences transforms and repairs your skin to look smoother and brighter. Sheet masks: Sheet masks are ideal for every skincare need. From hydration to anti-aging, sheet masks are the perfect twice a week ritual that your skin needs. Korean sheet masks are soaked in ingredients like collagen and can contain nutritionally extracts like avocado, Vitamin C, Vitamin E and many more. The combination of the collagen and extracts provide immediate results that will make your face look slightly more plump, brighter, and healthier.
